An Aboriginal Style Painting

When I lived in Australia a few years ago I grew to love Aboriginal art. I loved the stories the pictures told and how bright and colourful they were. This project makes it easy to produce a striking piece of work in a similar style. You can use the pictures on the template or have a go at doing your own design.

Make a Paper Boat

This paper boat uses elements of the ancient Japanese art of origami. The base of a boat is made by simply folding an A4 piece of paper. Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully. You could use plain white paper for both the boat and the sail and then decorate them. Maybe you could turn it into a pirate or viking boat. As always I hope you enjoy having a go.

Make a Hook a Duck Game

Hello and welcome to the first official Let's Go Make blog post. The previous entries you can see have just been to test things out and to give you a few more projects to look at while your here. Each week I'll be adding a new creative project to this blog. This week, as you can see, I've created a smaller version of that old fairground classic - hook a duck. The ducks all have numbers underneath. You need to mix them up and then take it in turns to try and hook them, which is harder than it looks. You then add the numbers on the bottom of all your ducks together. The person with the highest total is the winner!

Draw a Cartoon Dog

This week see how to draw a cartoon dog. You'll notice that it starts off in a similar way to the monkey before the details start to change. I've tried to go at a pace in the video that makes it easy to keep up for anyone who wants to have a go. You could add your own details like a big bushy tail or some teeth to make your dog different.

Draw a cartoon monkey

I love to draw cartoons and I've decided to start a new series of video clips showing how I draw some of my characters. This first clip shows how to build a picture of a cartoon monkey step by step. I've aimed to try and make it simple to follow so anyone can have a go. Over the coming weeks I will also introduce my version of a dog, cat, boy and girl and we'll take it from there. Hope you enjoy.

Make a Transforming Robot Car

This robot will magically transform into a car when you bend it at the waist. You'll need to start off with 2 copies in different colours of the same robot, which you will cut out and transform into one robot car. You can either use the template or design your own. Hope you enjoy.

Make A Fish Mobile

When you hang this mobile up you'll be able to watch the fish as they swim in and out of the seaweed. Blow on them and they will swim even faster. You can cut out your own fish or use the template. Just make sure you take care not to get the pieces of cotton tangled up. It can a while to get them apart again.
